Beach Bag Essentials

Summer is here! Of course now is the perfect time to go to the beach or the pool, and I wanted to share what I would put in my beach bag this season!

I recently found an amazing site called Naja, a great company for lingerie and swimwear! I love this brand because they not only sell cute and affordable items, but because they care about more than just their products. They employ single mothers, help women, and help the environment! Check out the website here:

Here’s my favorite swimsuit from Naja right now:

To go with this look, here is what is in my beach bag this season!

I like this bag because it’s bright without being overwhelming.

2. The Swimsuit: Naja

What’s more to say? I love it!

3. The Sunnies: ZeroUV

The sunglasses from ZeroUV are so cute and so affordable! Check them out!

4. The Book: Paper Towns

Paper towns (The movie!) is coming out soon, and it’s the best time to get the book before it comes to theaters! It is one of my favorite books and a great beach read.

5. The Towel: Urban Outfitters

I love the phases of the moon. It’s a cute towel without being super bright. This is more my personal style.

6. The Sunscreen: The Honest Company

I just started using this sunscreen and I think it’s perfect! It smells nice and doesn’t have a lot of greasiness to it.

7. The Cover Up: Aerie

This is simple and you can just throw it on over a colorful bathing suit.

8. The Water Bottle: CamelBak

Stay hydrated while outside! Bring water in your bag with a nice, quality water bottle.

What is in your beach bag this season?

Thrift Shopping

I haven’t actually blogged in forever. I know, it’s horrible – but I’ve been doing a lot of other good, productive things. Mostly I’m working on YouTube, and I’m loving it. I want to use this as my outlet for writing about fashion, and mentioning topics that are on my channel.

So this week I went thrift shopping. It was sort of a challenge for myself, I wanted to see if I could create cute outfits based off of thrifted pieces. I would consider it a success! The Goodwill I went to is amazing. It had so much stuff!

So here is what I ended up buying:

This blazer is a few sizes too big, and it had ridiculous shoulder pads, but I cut those out and am wearing it as an oversized, slouchy look with a romper.

The jumpsuit was thrifted, and I put it together with some clothes I already had to create a night out look. I felt very Miami.

This sweater is so comfortable! I threw it on with some skinny jeans and it looks way more expensive than the actual price.

This dress was only about $3, and it fits perfectly! I paired it with a shirt for a more grunge effect. I can’t wait to wear it in the summer too.

Hopefully this will inspire you to check out more thrift stores! Sometimes the best pieces are found there.

Lush Collection

Hi everyone! I posted a new video on my channel, and I’m super happy with this one because I feel like I’m finally getting comfortable in front of a camera, and comfortable with sharing my interests. This new video is about my Lush Collection so check it out right here!

I also wanted to talk about something that is really cool.

If you didn’t know, Lush is a cosmetic company. They have everything from beauty products (like hair henna and lip tints) to bath products (everything smells SO GOOD). I love Lush because their products are mostly all natural, and they use different techniques to help the environment. I love this because I have sensitive skin and using all natural products helps my breakouts a lot.

My favorite part about Lush is that they fight against animal testing. I love animals and I love that by purchasing Lush products I can contribute to a great cause. Discovery Channel’s Shark Week partnered with Lush Cosmetics to bring shark slaughtering to attention. It caught my attention right away, and I signed the petition to help.

Here is the info to sign the petition and go #FinFree!

And here is Lush’s page:….

Dsquared² Fall 2012

The new Fall collection for Dsquared² is everything I love. It is very retro and colorful, which is different for a fall collection. I like that designers are really stepping up and doing what they like to do, instead of what’s trending. Here are my favorite looks from the runway.

The colors are very rich and modern, but they style of the clothes are 60’s. There are a lot of fuzzy sweaters, which I love, and capes. Capes are a very big deal this season and I think they worked it in perfectly with this collection. My favorite accessory were the sunglasses. They completed a lot of the looks. I just want to be this glamorous every day.

Burberry Fall 2012 Ready to Wear

I’ve been obsessively checking, shopping online, (more like looking online) and reading magazines. Fall fashion is slowly creeping in, and devouring my helpless self. Of course for most people, it’s still all about summer, but I personally think it’s dull. Bring on the coats and boots! I love fall fashion. I especially love the new Burberry Prorsum fall collection. It is so classic, with the beautiful coats and patterns, yet there was something very new and fresh about the whole thing.

The bows on the waist of the coats were adorable. A very youthful, yet tasteful touch.

There was something in this collection that was my favorite, though. The shirts and sweaters with cute animals(mostly owls) on them did it for me.

What’s not to love?

Also, the men’s clothes were just superb. They were a little out there in some aspects, but pay attention guys, because this is the way to dress for cold weather. No question about it.

Meadham Kirchhoff

Recently I’ve been researching the new Fall Runway Shows. And one of my favorites is Meadham Kirchhoff. (If you click on that link, you can watch the show) The ready-to-wear collection is so fun and girly, with a 70’s-80’s vibe. It is everything I want, but it’s way too expensive for my little wallet. Check out some of the pictures from the show:

The shoes were all glittery, in this odd shape, but I thought it went perfectly with the styling.

The bags were all very funky and bat accessories were involved in a lot of the looks.

The alien makeup was amazing and totally completed the collection. Even though it was a little out there.

The whole show was overall fun and cute, complete with models throwing glitter all over the runway. That is one show I would love to go to. And the clothes I wish I could have. What do you think of the new collection? I personally love it.
