Thrift Shopping

I haven’t actually blogged in forever. I know, it’s horrible – but I’ve been doing a lot of other good, productive things. Mostly I’m working on YouTube, and I’m loving it. I want to use this as my outlet for writing about fashion, and mentioning topics that are on my channel.

So this week I went thrift shopping. It was sort of a challenge for myself, I wanted to see if I could create cute outfits based off of thrifted pieces. I would consider it a success! The Goodwill I went to is amazing. It had so much stuff!

So here is what I ended up buying:

This blazer is a few sizes too big, and it had ridiculous shoulder pads, but I cut those out and am wearing it as an oversized, slouchy look with a romper.

The jumpsuit was thrifted, and I put it together with some clothes I already had to create a night out look. I felt very Miami.

This sweater is so comfortable! I threw it on with some skinny jeans and it looks way more expensive than the actual price.

This dress was only about $3, and it fits perfectly! I paired it with a shirt for a more grunge effect. I can’t wait to wear it in the summer too.

Hopefully this will inspire you to check out more thrift stores! Sometimes the best pieces are found there.

The Shirt Dress

So, it’s that time of year where you don’t know what to wear. It’s cold – it’s hot, one minute it’s sunny, and the next it’s raining. With the inevitability of Winter approaching, it’s time to enjoy Autumn. I recently purchased this shirt dress from MissGuided¬†and it’s absolutely perfect for Fall. When it’s warm, I can wear it as a cute little dress with some sandals or boots. When it gets a bit colder, I can put it together with some jeans/leggings, and a cool jacket. The best thing about a shirt dress is that it’s so versatile. Here are two different ways to style a shirt dress:

This is classic and simple. It’s appropriate for a wedding or just for going about your day!

When I put it with jeans, I tucked in one side to make it more dynamic. I love these cutout boots I got from DailyLook, I basically live in them.

A shirt dress is a staple piece in a wardrobe, and inexpensive! You can get basic or patterned and they still go with everything.

Hope you enjoyed!
