It’s very warm today. I don’t know why I always talk about the weather on here, I’m trying to make small talk with you I guess. When I say warm, I mean it reached the 50’s today and that’s pretty crazy considering two states over is a blizzard. I thought since I had time today I would post. I’ve been very busy and have some exciting stuff going on in my life right now! This outfit was inspired by Kenley Collins. I love her clothes! Check her out! I hope you are all having a great week, and happy Friday!
Lately, I’ve been on a crazy thrift-store clothing kick. I went to Salvation Army least 3 times in the past week and a half. I love vintage clothes, and I love searching the store to find the perfect pieces. The “gems,” as I call them. I also love the fact that I can sew, and can just fix anything to make it cooler. Shopping at a thrift store is really fun for me because if it fits, but it’s a little frumpy, (most things are) I can just shorten it, or take out the awkward shoulder pads. (holla 80’s clothing!) Anyway, here are some pictures of my new thrift store vintage-y finds. All from Salvation Army.
Daisy print shift dress, oversized sweater (new)
Jones New York gingham crop top, high-waisted Gap shorts
Blue jean button up top, striped Forever 21 skirt. The bow I made from a diy on Rookiemag.
And here is my wonderful Starry Night shirt that I’m absolutely in love with. That was definitely a gem.
I bought more, but didn’t want to add tons of pictures on this post. I’ll have another photo shoot with the other outfits later. What do you think? Thanks to my sister Ysa for taking the pics!
What isn’t amazing about pearls and beads and giant gaudy jewels? I just want to wear tons of jewelry every day, but I don’t really own a lot. It’s all fantastical and gorgeous and I want every single piece of jewelry ever.
I’m not really sure if these are earrings, but if they are, I want them now.
This is also a really cute way to hold your jewelry. I went to Salvation Army the other day, and they had tons of cool porcelain items that say things like, “happy 50th anniversary!” in gold writing. I feel like I should buy it.
