Over-all of it

I think I have always been afraid of wearing overalls. They either looked too country, too 90’s, (the bad side of the 90’s) or just not my style. I never thought I could pull them off! BUT things have changed. I was looking online, and all of a sudden I saw overalls in a new light. I don’t know what changed, but now I’m all, I could wear them with the right styling! They can fit into my wardrobe! Luckily, my sister found these for me and now I’m in love. I think my message as a blogger is that anyone can wear what they want as long as they wear it with confidence. And I definitely need confidence to pull off wearing overalls!

These are Mossimo, so they were pretty inexpensive! I paired them with a Forever 21 t-shirt and shoes. I love the detail of the collar and sleeves because it makes it not just a basic tee.

What do you think of denim overalls?

The Shirt Dress

So, it’s that time of year where you don’t know what to wear. It’s cold – it’s hot, one minute it’s sunny, and the next it’s raining. With the inevitability of Winter approaching, it’s time to enjoy Autumn. I recently purchased this shirt dress from MissGuided and it’s absolutely perfect for Fall. When it’s warm, I can wear it as a cute little dress with some sandals or boots. When it gets a bit colder, I can put it together with some jeans/leggings, and a cool jacket. The best thing about a shirt dress is that it’s so versatile. Here are two different ways to style a shirt dress:

This is classic and simple. It’s appropriate for a wedding or just for going about your day!

When I put it with jeans, I tucked in one side to make it more dynamic. I love these cutout boots I got from DailyLook, I basically live in them.

A shirt dress is a staple piece in a wardrobe, and inexpensive! You can get basic or patterned and they still go with everything.

Hope you enjoyed!

Weekend Away

What a crazy week I had. I don’t know how I even made it through. But I’m going away for the weekend! These are my essentials, obviously. Have a good weekend! Also, Happy Valentines day! ❤

Crosses in Fashion

Crosses are very cool. They are a different kind of look compared to floral or stripes, and they add a kind of religious/witchy vibe to your wardrobe. I know, those things sound like complete opposites, but I promise it makes sense. Crosses are obviously linked to religion. All different religions have influenced the fashion industry in some way. Crosses are also very witchy because supposedly “satanists” wear the inverted cross because they are against God. BUT read this fun fact about the inverted cross. Since I’m far from a satanist, after reading this, I don’t feel that it’s wrong to wear an upside down cross. But let’s take into account that I found this on Urban Dictionary. It’s okay though, I choose to use this as a reliable source for information. And, of course I have nothing against witches. Especially teen ones. They are really fashionable and wear freakin’ cool makeup. Crosses add interest and intrigue to fashion. I love them.

Doesn’t this make you want to wear crosses with everything? I thought so.

The Beauty of Personal Style

If you read any magazine today, they all will say the same thing: “What’s your style?” Now, I have nothing against having a style, but then the magazines always try to pick it out for you… So I only have 3 options, I’m either preppy, edgy, or classic. What if I want to be edgy/preppy? I can’t wear a polo dress with a pair of doc martens? These are important fashion questions I would like to know the answer to, so I thought I would answer them for myself. And, of course, for all of you reading this.

Let me just say, YOU CAN WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT. Seriously. If you want to dress up for no reason, do it. If you want to spray paint your jean jacket, do it. Do what you want when it comes to your wardrobe. I guarantee you will feel so much more confident. You won’t be shut up in that little box that you have made for yourself, and you will be able to wear whatever you, and only you, think is cool.

Now, you might be afraid of what people will think of you. I know how you feel, and I am totally there sometimes. If you have the fear that someone will make fun of you for how you dress, then you aren’t embracing who you truly are. If you are doing what you like, then who cares what other people think, or even say? It matters that you do what’s best for you. That’s the beauty of personal style.
